Throughout much of human history communication was simple. It basically revolved around well how loud you can yell or if they can see your smoke signal. Compare that to now where we are a part of a Global Nervous System, and like how our own nervous system sends signals to connect our body and its functions the Global Nervous System does the same in connecting us.
As alluded to in the opening paragraph we were always as connected; sending and receiving messages took a lot of time and news was considerably slower than i today. One of the key persons in this transition was Samuel Morse who created Morse Code. Morse code would change communication forever as it meant messages that would take weeks or months to send and receive would only take minutes. This innovation would spark future developments like the radio, the television and then the internet. All bring us a little more connected.
